Alpha Care HealthCare Service is a healthcare service provider based in Wisconsin. The project involved migrating their existing website from Squarespace to WordPress to give the organization greater flexibility over its website design, content, and ongoing updates.

The existing Squarespace website was becoming difficult for the team to manage. Making design changes and updating website content was not as flexible or straightforward as they needed.

I worked on the project as a Full-Stack Developer, helping with the Squarespace-to-WordPress migration, website redevelopment, SEO optimization, and production setup on GoDaddy.

The goal was to create a more flexible and manageable website that Alpha Care could easily maintain and evolve as its business grew.

The Challenge

Alpha Care's existing website was built on Squarespace, but the team was facing challenges when trying to update the website.

Making changes to the website design, page layouts, and content was becoming difficult and limiting their ability to keep the website updated.

They needed a platform that would provide greater control over:

  • Website design

  • Page layouts

  • Website content

  • Service information

  • Navigation

  • SEO settings

  • Future website improvements

The migration also needed to preserve the important content and structure of the existing website while providing a better foundation for future development.

The key challenge was therefore not simply moving from one CMS to another — it was creating a website that would be easier to manage, easier to customize, and more flexible for future updates.

Solution

I helped migrate the website from Squarespace to WordPress, rebuilding the existing website within a more flexible and customizable CMS.

WordPress gave Alpha Care greater control over the website's design and content, allowing pages and sections to be updated more easily without being constrained by the previous Squarespace setup.

The new website was structured so that the organization could make content changes, update service information, and evolve the website design more efficiently.

Alongside the migration, I also worked on SEO optimization, responsive development, and GoDaddy hosting configuration.

Squarespace to WordPress Migration

The core of the project was migrating and rebuilding the existing Squarespace website.

The migration involved:

After completing the WordPress development and migration, I helped configure and deploy the new website on GoDaddy.
